Martin Lidell grew up in a film and theatrical family in Sweden, and when the time came to choose a career it was only natural that he found himself in a creative field. His roots led him to work for some years in the film industry before finding his true calling as a photographer.  He moved to Paris, then London and finally New York where he remained for many years.  The beginning of Martin’s career centered on Documentary photography, holding several exhibitions of his work before coming to focus on fashion photography.

For the last two years Martin has called Sweden home again, still accepting many commissions abroad, particularly in the USA and France, for a broad range of client in the fashion and art worlds. Martin describes himself as a driven, stubborn, careful and cheerful person who gains inspiration from design, fashion, books, people, music and art.

Clients include TSE, Anne Klein, Morgan de toi, BCBG, Max Azria, Araks, Reebok, Aveda, L`Officiel, The Last Magazine, Deleted Scenes Magazine, NK, Åhléns, KappAhl, Lindex, WESC, DonDonna, Oriflame, Spirit, Plaza Magazine, Glamour, King, Cover Magazine, Perfect Guide, Bon, Damernas Värld, DV Mode, NK Stil and many more.
